Other than the state that you currently live in, what other state would you live in and why? Utah, while rodeoing I have been fortunate to travel lots places. Utah was not only beautiful but all the people I met were so nice & helpful! I really liked it there!
A penguin walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here? “Dude it’s freaking HOT here, I need an air conditioner, I’m lost!”
What song best describes your work ethic? Texas in 1880 by Radney Foster
You’re on a 14 hour car ride name your top 3 needs in your vehicle, top 10 play list, and one co pilot.
- Have to have bottled water, phone charger & pillow
- Top 10 playlist: Any Kid Rock songs
- Plus Songs: Texas in 1880, Driving My life Away, Eye of the Tiger, Katy Perry Tiger, Back in Black basically any thing up beat and gets me feeling good & energized!
- CoPilot: Angie Meadors
What is your most prized possession? My Great Mare” XV Wild Child”
You get the chance to meet ANYONE from any era who would it be and what would you do? I would love to meet Kid Rock and spend the day with him! He just impresses me because he’s so talented & has to have a great work ethic to be respected in different music types! Mainly every rodeo I’ve seen him at he seems very sincere when he say “I wanta Thank all u hard working people for spending your hard earned dollars to come see us!”
Bungee Jump, Jump out of an airplane, or swim with sharks? None of the above, heights like that scare the crap outta me! Only way I’d do any of these is if a gun was held on me! Lol!!! No joke!!!
Movie that describes your life? The movie starring Julia Roberts when she works for an attorney, I think Erin Brockovich is the name!!! I don’t watch very much tv, but that’s what comes to mind by the daily struggles she encounters but she keeps on going until she succeeds!!!
Other than the state that you currently live in, what other state would you live in and why? I love living wherever the horse trailer is…it’s our permanent address! This way we get to see all kinds of neat places but never have to settle for just one!
A penguin walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here? Hola! I’m lost…do you have a Cervesa???
What song best describes your work ethic? Try by Pink. Every day you have to get up and TRY!
You’re on a 14 hour car ride name your top 3 needs in your vehicle, top 10 play list, and one co pilot. I’m lucky enough to usually have my husband as my co pilot! I have to have my Coke, a blanket, and something to snack on! We like to listen to pretty much any kind of music, comedy or books on tape. Pulling into the rodeo we like to put on something to get us pumped up and are usually the ones in the parking lot with the radio blasting while we get ready.
What is your most prized possession? I’ll admit it…I’m almost 32 years old and still sleep with my baby blanket! I’m pretty fond of it, my husband, however is not so much! But as much as I love my blanket my most prized possession is my belt buckle. I wear the buckle Jesse won for the All Around in Red Bluff in 2010 and he wears my Houston buckle. There’s a lot of times we don’t get to rodeo together so this way we always have a little piece of the other one in the arena with us!
You get the chance to meet ANYONE from any era who would it be and what would you do? Butch Cassidy! I’ve always been infatuated with him and love reading anything about him. I would have him show me all his secret hiding spots so Jesse and I could run away and never be found!
Bungee Jump, Jump out of an airplane, or swim with sharks? I went skydiving a few years ago! I hate heights…even climbing on the hay rack. It was actually pretty fun and I’m glad I did it but I’ll never do it again!
Movie that describes your life? My Heros Have Always Been Cowboys!!!

Cowgirl Tuff Company and B. Tuff Jeans open store at Mall of America®
Minnesota based Mall of America® approached Cowgirl Tuff Company® and B. Tuff Jeans® with an extraordinary opportunity for a physical store front and a brand presence in one of the largest malls in the world. Cowgirl Tuff Company caught the eye of Mall of America with their small town, family owned and operated feel; but it was their top notch quality designs of jeans and tops, unique story, edgy branding, genuine customer service and one-of-a-kind atmosphere that sealed the deal.
The 1,500 square foot store sits on the 3rd floor of Mall of America in the North Garden and includes separate entrances for Men and Women. Owner, Lisa Bollin, worked very closely with the Mall of America to make her story come to life inside and out. The store atmosphere starts with black walls and black carpet leading into rustic décor of cowhides, custom tin signs, barn wood accents, a horseshoe checkout, wagon wheel and mason jar chandeliers, palettes and much more. Bollin also added some old bits, halters, horseshoes and other accents from her personal collection to complete her story. “I spent long days and long nights, till 4am to be exact, making this dream come together. I am excited to give our customers a wide variety of our products in all sizes,” Bollin commented.
While most are asking, is this the start of a new avenue for Cowgirl Tuff Company? Bollin assured that this was a worldwide branding opportunity they could not pass up. The high traffic at Mall of America mostly consists of visitors and tourists from all around the world. While this is an exciting time for Cowgirl Tuff Company and B. Tuff Jeans to create brand awareness, they will still continue to focus on their Business-to-Business relationship with retailers across the world.
In Cowgirl Tuff Company and B. Tuff Jean’s first day on April 5th, 2014; they couldn’t have been more thrilled with their opening sales and excitement from the wide array of customers they were able to reach with their brand. Lockhart & Melby advance to Las Vegas!
We’re proud to announce that Tuff Team Members, Lisa Lockhart and Jane Melby, have made it to the 2013 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV in December. Through hard work and dedication these women have truly represented Cowgirl Tuff Company and what we stand for. We can’t wait to be at the Thomas & Mac Center to cheer them on for all 10 rounds. Good luck ladies!
Let’s be honest, we all have a little bit of a Cowgirl Tuff attitude at times. Not everyone classifies themselves as a cowgirl but we have all shared these traits in common. Read on about our 10 Signs You’re Cowgirl Tuff. Do you fit any of these? Did we miss a few? Sound off on our Facebook Page.
1. The cardinal rule is a girl can never have too much bling. Ever.
2. You are what you make yourself to be. Pick yourself up by the bootstraps if you have to.
3. Every cowgirl needs her partners in crime.
4. Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming.. WHAT A RIDE!
5. Doesn’t matter the day of the week, but you can always be slightly distracted by Barrel Racing!
6. What makes you different makes you unique.
7. You know the drill… work hard and play harder!
8. When in doubt, always wear Cowgirl Tuff jeans.
9. Women who wear spurs are 70% more likely to get what they want.
10. Most importantly, you Never Give Up … No matter what!
